Kelly Deanne Motes, Terra Building Group President, grew up surrounded by a successful construction business. Her father, Mike Motes, has operated a successful and well respected contracting business in the state of Florida and surrounding states for over forty years.
Kelly was exposed to this from a young age and used this knowledge to enhance her own career. Kelly was instrumental in growing the state of Florida’s Building Homes for Heroes non-profit organization to a multi-million dollar per year operation where she served as the Florida’s Division Executive Director. For Terra, she has acted as the Vice President of the Pennsylvania division. There she had direct oversight of sales and project management. She grew the company from $2.8 million in revenue to over $6 million while leading that division. Kelly is university educated, holds multiple degrees, and has achieved dozens of continuing education accreditations.
Brett, a Pensacola resident, holds an MBA with a specialization in Corporate Finance from California University of Pennsylvania, and Engineering from West Virginia University. Brett is an active member of the community and Brett Robinson – Vice President – Terra Building Group takes great pride in providing education on sustainability. Some of this educational instruction included LEED training sessions through the Green Building Alliance “Lunch and Learn” program, Rotary speaking engagements, Contractor sustainability training, panelist for the Earth Day Business Breakfast, and other building related media events. Some of the topics covered have included – Geothermal for Homes, The LEED Certification Process for Home Design and Construction, and Green Rating Systems for Homes such as ENERGY STAR, and the NAHB National Green Building Program.
With over three decades of work experience in all aspects of construction with large commercial, institutional, government, and national residential builder/developers, Brett has had to troubleshoot every imaginable obstacle that can arise in building, and he speaks from first-hand experience.
